Program Cancellation Policy

This seems like a lot of fine print, but it's necessary to ensure that our programs are the optimal size for families to get the most benefit. This policy applies to Powerhouse Programs’ family programs, including Journey to Manhood, Journey into Womanhood and Building Bridges. If you find these terms and conditions to be challenging, please contact us and we'll do our best to come up with something that works for you. We are an Australian Charity operating on a non- profit basis - so while we are not out to make millions, we do need to keep our costs manageable so that families can afford our programs. Having said that, here's the fine print.

Cancellation by Us: We reserve the right to cancel the program due to insufficient enrolment, unforeseen circumstances or other reasons. In the event of program cancellation, participants will be entitled to either a full refund or transfer to another program within a 12 month period.

Cancellation by participant/you: Your registration applies to the specific program, dates, and location you have chosen.  All cancellations must be notified in writing to Powerhouse Programs via our contact page or email - admin@powerhouseprograms.org.au. Your request will be processed depending on the date it is received in relation to the commencement date of the specific program or event you have registered for:

MORE THAN 30 DAYS NOTICE  Cancellations that are received more than 30 days prior to the specific program commencement date (1st day of camp component of program) are entitled to a full refund, less an administration fee of $25. Please contact us to arrange a refund.

BETWEEN 15 DAYS AND 30 DAYS NOTICE - Cancellations made more than 14 and less than 31 days prior to the specific program commencement date (1st day of camp component of program) are entitled to a refund of 75% of the fees paid (less administration fee of $25), or you may have the option to transfer your registration (see below).

LESS THAN 15 DAYS NOTICE - All payments are non-refundable. If for some reason you cannot participate in the event or program for which you registered, you may be eligible to transfer your registration (see below)

Transferring to another program or event - You can transfer your registration one time to the same course on another date or at another location within these guidelines:

  • The fee for the transfer will be $75.
  • Your request for a transfer needs to be made prior to the start date (1st day of camp component of program) and time of the program or event for which you originally registered and will be granted subject to availability.
  • You can only transfer into a program or event that occurs within 12 months from the start date of the event or program for which you originally registered.

Transferring to another family - You can transfer your registration one time to another person within these guidelines:

  • Transferring to another person is contingent on the person having completed any prerequisites for the program or event and meeting other applicable registration requirements.
  • The fee for the transfer will be $75.
  • Your request for a transfer needs to be made prior to the start date (1st day of camp component of program) and time of the program or event for which you originally registered and will be granted subject to availability.
  • You can transfer your registration to another person only for a program or event that occurs within 12 months from the start date (1st day of camp component of program) of the event or program for which you originally registered.

Program changes: We reserve the right to make changes to the program schedule or venues, if necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to notify participants of any changes in advance.

Liability and Waiver
Waiver: Participation in the face-to-face programs involves inherent risks. By enrolling in the program, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to waive any claims against us for any injury, loss or damage that may occur during the program.

Insurance: We strongly recommend that participants have their own insurance coverage, including health and liability insurance, as we are not responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage.

Photography and Recordings
Consent: By participating in the program, you consent to the use of photographs, video recordings or audio recordings of you/the enrolled participants for promotional and educational purposes.

Privacy
Data Collection: We may collect personal information from participants for program administration purposes. We will handle your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy which can be found on our website Privacy Policy page, or we can provide a copy to you upon request.https://powerhouseprograms.org.au/privacy-policy/
